The Minnamurra Lions Club is a partner to the Man Walk organisation that originated in Kiama, NSW a few years ago. The aim of the Man Walk is to get men in the community to ‘walk, talk and support’ each other on a regular basis. The Minnamurra Man Walk commenced in December 2022 with a regular Thursday afternoon walk and the Lions Club was a founding supporter of this walk in their local community.

Many Club members are regular walkers and for some time the idea of relaunching the walk at a different time has been mooted. Finally, the relaunch has happened with the new Minnamurra Walk commencing on Thursday mornings at 6.30am, departing from the Kiama Downs Shops in front of Cantik Place Cafe.

Anyone interested in being involved in the Walk just needs to turn up on a Thursday morning and have a chat to one of the Lions members there to get the low down on this great initiative. Come along and just walk, have a chat and support each other!
