Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and across the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo – the trademark of our International Association and the ‘We Serve’ motto.

Lions Australia is part of an international association, characterised by people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm, time and energy.

Membership is by application and is open to anyone of good standing in the local community.

This website is where you can find out about and how to contact the Minnamurra Club – your own local Lions Club.

Our History

For 75 years, Lions Club members in Australia have served with uncommon kindness, putting the needs of their neighbours, their communities and the world first. Since the first Lions club was formed in Lismore, NSW in September 1947, we have grown to be Australia’s largest service club organisation.

The Minnamurra Lions Club was chartered in November 1999 and since that time, its members have served the local community and many national and international humanitarian causes. Now into its third decade, the Minnamurra Club has engaged in many diverse fundraising activities, with all proceeds being donated back to the community through schools, charities and other community based not-for-profit organisations.

We look back at our storied past with pride, but we know it’s only the beginning. Every day, we’re building on our legacy with the goal of making an even greater impact in the future.

What does the Club do?

Whether it be local community members in need of assistance, disaster relief after bushfires or floods across Australia or international humanitarian relief like aid for Nepal after the recent earthquake, the Minnamurra Lions Club has been able to assist – both financially and in providing volunteer people-power to assist directly.

We raise funds through a wide range of activities and our charter is to donate all proceeds back to the community.

The Minnamurra Lions Club is also a group of like-minded people who gather regularly in a more convivial social environment to share camaraderie, fellowship and social activities in a more informal setting.
